Our ministries
RCCG Light House is a vibrant church filled with young adults and singles. Are you desiring to associate with our congregation, there are different arms of ministry to help you become grounded in the Lord and be a part of the family of God. Below are ministries within the church.
Women's ministry
This is the women's arm of the church, a forum for the married women. The group is actively engaged in helping women feel uplifted in the service of the Lord and becoming virtuous women in their homes. Some of the group's activities include:
- Prayer meeting twice a month
- Yearly women conference
- Outdoor activities
The aims of the ministry are as follows:
- To raise complete woman spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially glorifying God
- To express godly love to our family, church and community
- To influence our community positively for Jesus
- To positively engage women through expertise building exercises, wellbeing and business advancement talks
- To love and serve our God in this era
Men's ministry
This is the men's arm of the church. Male members of the Church age eighteen and above are eligible to join this arm of the Ministry.
What to expect from the group includes:
- Prayer meetings
- Family outdoor programs such as BBQ and Easter fun fairs
- Forum to discuss responsible men's issues such as Men's Health, Leadership, Business and Men Empowerment programs
- Fellowshipping with one another and sharing the love of Christ
- Supporting and helping other men and their family to achieve the purpose of God for their lives
- Community activities
Children/teens (youth) ministry
This ministry encompasses the future generation of Church leaders. It is a team of Children and Teens under eighteen years of age. "Train up your child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverb 22:6).
In our kids and Teens' church, we intend to prepare up our up and coming era of genuine best achievers in every aspect of life. We give a safe and fun learning condition for every one of our children in the kids and Teens' church. Our child's program is a road where kids take in more about scriptural ethics, comprehend the way that there is a God, who made them, thinks about them, adores them, can address every one of their issues and furthermore figuring out how to do the correct things to remain out of inconvenience in these last days!
Our weekly activities include:
- Bible lesson and Memory verse: Each week we work through RCCG, junior church manual for our weekly lessons and memory verses. Children are encouraged to come in with their bibles and writing journals, learn at least one bible verse weekly. Becoming more Christ centred is our primary target for all kids attending our children's church.
- Prayer time: Every child has an opportunity to lead the group in prayers as appropriate for the child's age.
- Play time
Every child is encouraged to participate in all our children's ministrations such as Christmas carols, drama, choreography etc.
Singles ministry
This is the youth arm of the church for singles young adults. "Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth..." (Eccl 12:1). It is a place where we trust each adolescent should express their God given gifts and bloom for the work of the kingdom. The ministry is an overwhelmingly youth affair organised by these youthful personalities to set them up for a life worthy of the Master's calling.
What to expect:
- Fellowshipping with one another, sharing the love of Christ
- Evangelism
- Supporting and helping to achieve the purpose of God for their lives academically and in every other aspect
- Community activities
- Counselling
- The youth weekend
- Youth Outing
- Outreach Program
Prayer ministry
At RCCG Light House, we believe in prayer! "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6 -7).
